Your new project’s design team is not complete without an Energy Modelling Consultant on board. Modellers are professional engineers who are familiar with an integrated design process and trained to use specialized software to simulate the energy use of a proposed building based on design drawings and specifications. In doing so they compare a proposed building to a defined baseline building (typically baselined to the Ontario Building Code or the Model National Building Code) to estimate the energy savings that a proposed building is expected to achieve.
